Dead cats found dumped in a bin near Jelutong SPCA office


GEORGE TOWN: Several dead cats were found dumped in a rubbish bin in Jelutong here.

The incident was seen in a 29-second video which has gone viral.

George Town OCPD Asst Comm Abd Rozak Muhammad confirmed that the police received a report on Feb 5 regarding the video from a 49-year-old man at 4.29pm.

ACP Abd Rozak said the case has been referred to the state veterinary department for further action.

In the video, the dead cats were seen in a black rubbish bag in a rubbish bin at the side of a road near an SPCA office.

People online have condemned the incident as barbaric and have called for a thorough investigation, urging authorities to take strict action against those responsible.
