Man falls into CNY decor in Penang shopping mall


GEORGE TOWN: A man fell and crashed into the Chinese New Year decorations at a popular mall here.

The incident that occurred on Wednesday (Feb 5) afternoon was captured on camera by onlookers who were shocked to see the roof of the decoration caved in and a man lying on the ground.

The mall spokesman said the incident happened at around 2pm on Wednesday (Feb 5).

"The individual fell from a height into the atrium of our mall.

"The individual was then taken by an ambulance to a hospital and is currently undergoing medical treatment.

"Investigations are ongoing, and we are fully cooperating with the authorities," the spokesman said in a statement on Wed (Feb 5).
