KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department is set to receive three new AgustaWestland AW139 helicopters next year, to enhance its rescue capabilities, particularly in remote areas and regions facing challenges.

Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming said the acquisition of these new assets is a strategic move, aimed at bolstering the preparedness and operational effectiveness of the department.
