No loss of life following landslide at Jalan Ion Delemen, say Bentong police

BENTONG: No loss of life and damages have been reported following a landslide at Jalan Ion Delemen which is outside Resorts World Genting, say police.

In a statement on Friday (Jan 17), Bentong OCPD Supt Zaiham Mohd Kahar said that the landslide occurred alongside the road from Amber Court to Ion Delemen.

A complaint was lodged at around 2.47am on Friday.

The following landslide had blocked both sides of the roads in the area.

"The police confirm that no loss of life or property has been reported. Works to clear the roads were conducted and completed at 2pm on Friday, with access resumed for all vehicles.

"Both the authorities and the Genting Highland security team will continue to monitor the area," he said.
