Prosecution says Israeli Avitan Shalom's application to stay proceedings moot, hearing set for Feb 28

KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court has set Feb 28 for the hearing of Israeli national Avitan Shalom’s application to stay the Sessions Court proceedings, pending the appointment of a certified Hebrew interpreter.

Judge K. Muniandy fixed the date after Avitan’s lawyer Muhamad Aiman Haziq informed the court that the interpreter in the previous proceedings could not speak Hebrew.
