Couple killed in three-vehicle collision on Jalan Seremban-Kuala Pilah


SEREMBAN: A couple was killed in a three-vehicle collision along Jalan Seremban-Kuala Pilah.

Seremban police chief Asst Comm Mohamad Hatta Che Din said the accident occurred around 6.45pm on Sunday (Jan 5).

Both victims were in their 50s.

"The accident happened when a 22-year-old man who was heading towards Kuala Pilah is believed to have lost control of his car and veered into two cars heading in the opposite direction,” he said.

ACP Mohamad Hatta said the front-seat passenger died on the spot, while her husband succumbed to his injuries at Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital.

The 22-year-old driver who was driving alone broke both his legs in the crash, while the driver and occupants of the third car suffered light injuries.

He urged eyewitnesses to contact investigating officer Insp Mohd Shahrizan Khairi at 019 846 1792 or the nearest police station.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
