Papagomo under investigation for video insulting IGP


KUALA LUMPUR: Blogger Muhammad Azri bin Wan Deris is being investigated for allegedly insulting Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain.

The blogger is believed to have uploaded a 31:05min video on YouTube making disparaging remarks against the IGP.

"A police report was lodged against the suspect.

"His statement has since been recorded at Setapak police station at 3pm Thursday pertaining to the investigation," Razarudin said when contacted on Thursday (Dec 19).

The case is classified under Section 500 and 504 of the Penal Code as well as Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, he added.
