Motorcycle rider crushed by fallen barrier, survives with broken right hand


KUALA LUMPUR: A motorcycle rider was crushed by a fallen barrier, which was knocked down by a lorry near Bulatan Dato Onn but he survived the accident.

KL Fire and Rescue Department said the distress call was made at about 11.22pm on Wednesday (Nov 27).

"Seven personnel from the Hang Tuah fire station were dispatched to the scene.

"We managed to free the trapped victim and handed him over to medical personnel," it said in a statement on Saturday (Nov 30).

The victim suffered a broken right hand, he added.
