Anwar expresses condolences over Daim's demise


PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim expressed condolences for the passing of Tun Daim Zainuddin.

"Just received news of Tun Daim Zainuddin passing upon reaching Lima, Peru. My condolences to his family," Anwar said in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday. (Nov 13)

Anwar said the government acknowledged Daim's service and contribution to the nation, particularly when he served as Finance Minister.

Anwar was in Peru to attend the 31st Asian Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) meeting and will participate in the Apec Economic Leaders Week (AELW) and Apec CEO Summit on Nov 14, 2024.
