Morning thunderstorms forecast in some states, including Selangor and KL


PETALING JAYA: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected early on Wednesday (Nov 6) morning in some states, including Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.

According to an advisory issued by the Meteorological Department at 5.50am, thunderstorms are forecast for Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.

Also affected are Negri Sembilan (Seremban, Port Dickson and Rembau), Johor (Batu Pahat, Kluang, Mersing, Pontian, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Bahru), Sarawak (Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Pakan and Sarikei in Sarikei, and Tanjung Manis and Daro in Mukah)

According to a statement by MetMalaysia, the Northeast Monsoon has begun on Tuesday (Nov4).
