Teenage boy killed in motorcycle-MPV collision in Ipoh


IPOH: A 17-year-old boy was killed on the spot when the motorcycle he was riding got involved in an accident with a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) in Bandar Baru Tambun here on Tuesday (Oct 22).

Perak Fire and Rescue department spokesman said the motorcycle was pinned underneath the MPV.

He said a distress call was made at 12.19am today.

He said the teenager was declared dead at the site by the medical team.

“Firemen had to use an air lifting bag to raise the vehicle in order to retrieve the victim using a stretcher.

“The victim’s body was handed over to the police for further action,” he said.
