Azlan Komeng in stable condition after accident, to undergo hip surgery

PETALING JAYA: Action star and stunt performer Azlan Komeng, 48, is currently in a stable condition and has been transferred to the Batu Pahat Hospital in Johor, reported Sinar Harian.

This latest development was shared by his wife, Nur Nilam Ortiz, during a live broadcast on TikTok on Monday (Oct 14) afternoon.

She added that Azlan will undergo another major surgery on his broken hip.

"We requested the transfer from Kuala Lipis Hospital in Pahang to be closer to family members who can assist during his recovery.

"Aside from that, he will take some time to recover following his injuries.

"Let us pray for 'abang' (Azlan Komeng’s) recovery," said Nur Nilam.

On Oct 13, Azlan sustained a broken left leg and injuries to his face, head, hands, and legs after being involved in an accident early yesterday in Kuala Lipis, Pahang.

The incident occurred around 2am when the car driven by Azlan, with his wife and their five-year-old son Adam onboard, collided with a police truck.

Azlan has already undergone surgery in Kuala Lipis to repair his torn hand, said his wife.

Nur Nilam explained that her husband's quick actions helped shield her from more serious injuries during an incident, allowing her to only sustain minor wounds and swelling.

She expressed gratitude that their five-year-old child was unharmed in the accident and had only cried.
