Dr Wee applauds young badminton stars for world championship victory


PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong congratulates Kang Khai Xing and Aaron Tai as the pair emerge as world champions at the 2024 World Junior Badminton Championships.

“Our young players have showcased outstanding performances, bringing home one gold medal (men’s doubles), one silver medal (women’s doubles) and one bronze medal (team event) in the competition held over the past two weeks,” write the MCA President in a Facebook post on Sunday (Oct 13).

Dr Wee also noted that Kang and Aron are the eighth men’s doubles pair in Malaysia’s history to have won the men’s double event.

“Well done, and congratulations to our young men's doubles,” he said.
