Families claim bodies of three UiTM students killed in Dungun crash


DUNGUN: A sombre atmosphere filled Dungun Hospital on Thursday (Oct 10) as family members arrived to claim the bodies of the three Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Dungun students who were killed in an accident.

The autopsy process for the victims was completed at the Forensic Unit of Dungun Hospital at around 9am this morning, reported Sinar Harian.

The bodies were brought out of the Forensic Medical Department of Dungun Hospital upon completion of the post-mortem for the funeral arrangements.

The remains of Khairil Anwar Jamaludin, Muhammad Akmal Md Tukirin and Ku Adib Aizad Ku Azmi were then taken to the UiTM Dungun Mosque for funeral prayers before being taken back by their respective families.

Family members of the three victims were seen hugging and shedding tears, unable to contain their grief.

On Wednesday (Oct 9) night, three students from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Dungun tragically lost their lives, and another sustained serious injuries after the two motorcycles they were riding were struck by a car driven by a woman near the university, on Jalan Pantai Sura.
