Cops investigating gathering outside American embassy


KUALA LUMPUR: Police are currently investigating a gathering that took place earlier Monday outside the American embassy.

In a statement on Monday (Sept 30), Wangsa Maju District Police Chief Asst Comm Mohamad Lazim Ismail reported that the gathering, which aimed to protest the Israeli occupation of Palestine, was attended by seven individuals at approximately 8:10am.

ACP Mohamad Lazim confirmed that an investigation paper has been opened under the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012. "The documentation process for all participants is currently underway for further investigation," he said.
