Rise in Kedah flood evacuees due to returning holidaymakers

ALOR SETAR: The high number of people returning from vacations, coupled with the high tide phenomenon, are among the factors contributing to the rise in flood evacuees at temporary relief centres in Kedah.

Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) chief commissioner Datuk Aminurrahim Mohamed noted that although rainfall has diminished and the weather is improving, the number of flood evacuees in Kedah continues to rise, particularly in the Kota Setar district.
