MCA president commends KSM's diversification into emerging industries

PETALING JAYA: The Koperasi Serbaguna Malaysia Berhad (KSM), set up by MCA youth, has distributed 79 education incentives worth RM15,960 to its members and their children since 1968, says Datuk Seri Dr We Ka Siong.

"Today KSM is looking into emerging industries such as cross-border online business and green technology to create more business opportunities for its members and collaborative partners.

"As the cooperative celebrates its 56th anniversary this year, I am proud that it has achieved impressive results in diversifying its operations by getting involved in not just plantation farming but also in the insurance sector," said the MCA president in a Facebook regarding the KSM's annual general meeting at Wisma MCA on Saturday (Sept 21).

"All the best to the management of KSM as they continue to work diligently to ensure the cooperative's sustainable growth and protect its members' interests.

KSM chairman Dr Au Tai Yiat and permanent honorary chairman and former MCA president Tan Sri Tan Koon Swan were also present at the event.
