Beefing up copyright enforcement through shared data


KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia has joined the Wipo Alert Data Sharing Platform to strengthen the country’s intellectual property enforcement in the digital era, says the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister.

Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali said Wipo Alert is an online platform developed by the World Intellectual Property Organisation (Wipo), a United Nations agency, to assist enforcement agencies in uploading and accessing lists of websites that have been identified as copyright violators.
