Khaled arrives in Seoul for five-day working visit


SEOUL: Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin has arrived here on Sunday (Sept 8) to begin his five-day working visit to South Korea.

Upon arrival at Incheon International Airport at approximately 7.45am local time, Khaled and his delegation from the Defence Ministry were welcomed by the Counsellor (Defence) of the Malaysian Embassy in Seoul Col Mohamad Nazri Ahmad.

Khaled’s visit aims at strengthening defence cooperation between both countries.

During the visit, Khaled among others was scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with the United Nations High Representative for Disarmament Affairs Nakamitsu Izumi.

He is also scheduled to visit the Korea Aerospace Industries Ltd (KAI) and participate in the Seoul Defence Dialogue 2024 which will be inaugurated by South Korean Prime Minister Han Duck-Soo.- Bernama
