Circle Line plan up for public view

PETALING JAYA: Plans for the next Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line or the “Circle Line” will be put on display starting tomorrow for the public to give its feedback on its alignment and stations.

A map of the proposed alignment and the areas affected will be on display at eight MRT info kiosks and 27 MRT info trucks throughout the Klang Valley, MRT Corp said.

It said the public display exercise will be carried out for three months from Sept 2 to Dec 2.“(The public display) will be a key opportunity for the public to review and provide feedback on the proposed alignment, site and context plans and other essential details of the project.”

The Circle Line, known as the orbital rail line or MRT3 project, will span 51km around the city’s public transport perimeter and integrate existing MRT, LRT, KTM and monorail lines through 10 interchanges and connecting stations.

The three-month public display exercise will feature detailed maps, site plans and project details in accordance with Section 84 of the Land Public Transport Act.
