1MDB lawsuit: Oct 15 set for hearing of Najib's appeal to lift Mareva injunction

PUTRAJAYA: The Court of Appeal has set Oct 15 to hear Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s appeal to lift a Mareva injunction that prevents him from disposing of or reducing the value of any of his assets in Malaysia amounting to US$681mil (RM2.96bil).

Siva Kumar Kanagasabai, representing 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) and its four subsidiaries –1MDB Energy Holdings Limited, 1MDB Energy Limited, 1MDB Energy (Langat) Limited and Global Diversified Investment Company Limited – confirmed the date when contacted on Wednesday (Aug 28).
