Navy vessel KD Pendekar evacuated after leak off Johor coast


JOHOR BARU: A navy vessel has become stranded off the southeast coast of Johor on Sunday (Aug 25).

It is learnt that the fast attack craft (FAC) KD Pendekar reportedly suffered a leak while navigating the waters near Tanjung Penyusup, close to Pengerang, in Kota Tinggi.

As a precautionary measure, the crew have been safely evacuated from the ship. The KD Pendekar is currently secured to a nearby merchant vessel.

A navy spokesperson, when contacted, informed that a statement regarding the matter will be issued soon.
