Family searching for missing 16-year-old daughter in KK

KOTA KINABALU: A 16-year-old high school student has been reported missing by her family.

Loreanna Chin, whose nickname is Luna, was last seen in Inanam wearing her school uniform.

Police reports have been filed at the Inanam and Kepayan police stations, said her aunt, Flocy Chin, in a Facebook post.

The family noticed Luna was missing after she did not return from her school, SMK Kolombong, on Aug 22.

Family members contacted all her friends, who confirmed Luna was at school that day.

"Usually, she informs her father if she is returning late, but this time she did not," said Chin.

In the latest update at 7.43am on Friday morning (Aug 23), Chin said Luna is still missing.

"Luna, please return. Your parents and siblings are very worried about where you are sleeping and if you have eaten," she said.

If anyone has information about the missing girl, please contact 016-802 2215.
