Full drill for National Day from Aug 27-29

KUALA LUMPUR: The full-dress rehearsal for the 2024 National Day parade will take place over three days from Aug 27-29 at Dataran Putrajaya, says the Communications Ministry.

Its Management Services Division secretary Harun Ali advised those planning to attend the rehearsal to follow the instructions on the signs provided in the area due to road closures.

He said the route for the National Day parade, from the Putrajaya International Convention Centre to Masjid Putra in Putrajaya, will be ready by Aug 22.

Harun added that this year’s host, Putrajaya Corporation, is working on relocating flowerpots along the parade route to ensure the event runs smoothly.

“The parade is organised by the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry. Each year, it has its unique features and an element of surprise,” he said on RTM’s Selamat Pagi Malaysia programme here yesterday, Bernama reported.

He added that about 8,000 seats and 100 vendor stalls will be provided during this year’s National Day celebration.
