Full rehearsal for the National Day parade on Aug 27-29

KUALA LUMPUR: The full dress rehearsal for the 2024 National Day parade will take place over three days, from Aug 27 to 29 at Dataran Putrajaya.

Communications Ministry's management services division secretary Harun Ali advised those planning to attend the rehearsal to follow the instructions on the signage provided in the area due to road closures.

He said the route for the National Day parade, from the Putrajaya International Convention Centre to Masjid Putra in Putrajaya, would be ready by Aug 22, Bernama reported.

He said this year’s host, the Putrajaya Corporation, is working on relocating flower pots along the route to ensure the event runs smoothly.

"This parade is organised by the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry and each year, it has its unique features and an element of surprise,” he said when appearing as a guest on RTM’s Selamat Pagi Malaysia programme on Sunday (Aug 18).

He also noted that approximately 8,000 seats and 100 vendor stalls would be provided during this year’s National Day celebration.
