MetMalaysia issues Level 1 hot weather alert for four areas


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) issued a hot weather warning in four areas in the Peninsula.

The department said two areas in Perak (Larut Matang and Kuala Kangsar), Kuala Kerai in Kelantan and Rompin in Pahang recorded Level 1 hot weather (alert).

"Level 1 warning is issued when temperatures at a location are between 35°C and 37°C for three consecutive days.

"For the latest information on the daily hot weather status, please rever to www.met.gov.my/iklim/status-cuaca-panas/," it said in a post on Facebook on Wednesday (July 24).
