HONG KONG superstar Sammi Cheng (pic) surprised fans after breaking down in tears while performing a duet with husband Andy Hui during a recent concert, reported China Press.

Since Cheng kicked off her You & Mi Sammi Cheng World Tour in Hong Kong on July 13, Hui has appeared on stage every night to perform End of the Century Fireworks with her.

However, during the 7th show on Saturday (July 20), Cheng broke down mid-song and could be seen wiping tears away throughout the number.

In response, Hui, who stood across from her on stage, could be seen smiling and nodding.

The brief emotional moment she shared with Hui did not dampen the concert as Cheng continued to give one powerful performance after another that evening.

One of the more notable ones was a number she performed together with the Cantopop girl group Collar which was invited as a special guest.

Cheng, 51, wowed concertgoers with her energetic dance moves alongside the much younger performers who debuted two years ago.

“As part of this industry, I need to be like new performers and continue learning. If I do not improve, it would mean I am regressing. Otherwise, how would I be able to continue holding concerts?” she said.It was reported that Hui appeared on stage with Cheng for the first time in five years on July 13 since his cheating scandal.

In 2019, Hui was caught kissing actress Jacqueline Chong, who was 21 years his junior, at the back of a taxi.

The scandal grabbed headlines across Hong Kong press for several months and led to the two taking a hiatus from work.

Cheng later said she forgave Hui and urged fans to respect her decision.

Hui made a comeback to the music industry three years later in December 2022.
