Poh Yu Tian, 15, is youngest Malaysian to get International Master chess title


Yu Tian, 15, is the youngest Malaysian chess player to be awarded the International Master title.

GEORGE TOWN: Young Penang chess player Poh Yu Tian has been awarded the International Master (IM) title after obtaining a rating of 2,429 in the 8th East Asian Youth Chess Championship (EAYCC) here.

The 15-year-old is the youngest Malaysian and the tenth to win the title and the third in Penang.
