PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced that Malaysia will soon begin the formal procedures to join the grouping, BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa).

In an interview with Shanghai-based news site Guancha, Anwar said Malaysia is now awaiting the final decision and feedback from the South African government.
