A MAN in Taiwan ended up in hospital following an attempt to perform a circumcision on himself after buying a do-it-yourself (DIY) kit online, reported Sin Chew Daily.
Urologist Dr Chen Zhongzuo wrote on his social media account about a patient who came in with a swollen penis after attempting to circumcise himself with a kit he bought on Taobao.
The patient said the kit included a mild anaesthetic which he sprayed on his genitals, however the procedure to remove the foreskin caused him pain.
After seven days, when the pain became intolerable the man decided to seek medical attention.
Dr Chen said as a result of the self-circumcision, the man’s genitals were infected and a course of antibiotics was required. If the man had not sought medical attention, Dr Chen said, he would have needed surgery.
Dr Chen urged men not to perform circumcisions by themselves as the risk of things going wrong was high.

Chow is reportedly neighbours with TV producer Charles Heung and prominent Feng Shui master Li Juming.
Chow is best known for his roles as Sao Feng in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End and Li Mu-bai in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
