Bajau Laut homeowners allegedly torch houses to gain sympathy after Semporna demolition, says Sabah minister

KOTA KINABALU: Some devastated Bajau Laut homeowners had torched their own houses after the demolition operation in Semporna as they wanted to gain public sympathy, said Datuk Christina Liew.

The Sabah Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister said this information was shared by police sources involved in the demolition operation recently.
