GEORGE TOWN: The father of Bukit Bendera MP Syerleena Abdul Rashid has passed away.
A spokesman for the MP said Abdul Rashid Hanafi, 80, died of age-related causes at his home at Miami Green Apartments in Batu Ferringhi at 7.20am on Tuesday (June 4).
"His remains will be buried at the Islamic burial ground at Masjid Jamek Hashim Yahaya in Perak Road at 5pm on Tuesday," the spokesman added.
