Duo plead guilty to trespassing into Istana Negara


KUALA LUMPUR: The two suspects who attempted to trespass into Istana Negara on May 17 have pleaded guilty.

"Both were charged under Section 447 and Section 511 of the Penal Code. Both pleaded guilty," said Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa on Monday (May 20).

He added that one of the accused was also charged under Section 6(1) of the Corrosive and Explosive Substances and Offensive Weapons Act.

"The suspect did not plead guilty to that charge. The reason why they committed the crime has yet to be determined," he said.
