PETALING JAYA: Acid attack victim Mohamad Faisal Abdul Halim will undergo a fourth – and possibly final – surgery next week.
Selangor FC's sports medicine head Dr Muhammad Hazwan Khair said the procedure will involve a skin graft from his thigh to the area damaged by the acid.

He said this could be the last operation that the national footballer and Selangor FC player undergoes if the procedure is successful.
"Faisal's treatment is going according to plan," he told Sinar Harian on Wednesday (May 15), adding that they will have to observe his recovery first and plan the procedure for next week.
Dr Muhammad Hazwan also said which part of the body the skin graft is taken from will depend on a surgical examination.
"Many things have to be taken into account, like if the graft area is suitable and so on.

"However, it is likely to be taken from the thigh but the experts will make the decision," he said.
Faisal, who suffered fourth-degree burns, has undergone three surgeries so far including a "skin allograft" procedure using skin from Belgium.
Dr Muhammad Hazwan also said Faisal's treatment is progressing well.
Meanwhile, Bernama reported Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Adam Adli Abdul Halim as saying that Faisal's road to recovery could be lengthy but he was showing positive progress.
"All possible medical and supportive care has been provided, not only to Faisal but also to his family.
"He is out of the intensive care unit but has not been discharged yet... give him the space he needs to fully recover," Adam Adli told reporters after inaugurating the "Semarak Hari Belia Negara @ Kementerian Belia dan Sukan (HBN@KBS) 2024" programme here on Wednesday.
On May 5, Faisal Halim, fondly known as "Mickey" to fans, suffered fourth-degree burns on several parts of his body after being splashed with acid by an unknown individual at a shopping mall in Petaling Jaya, affecting his movement and speech.
