KKB polls: Three reports lodged so far, say cops

HULU SELANGOR: Three reports have been lodged throughout the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election campaign period to date, according to police.

In a statement on Thursday (May 2), Hulu Selangor OCPD Supt Ahmad Faizal Tahrim said that three police reports had been lodged throughout the campaigning period, and an investigation paper had been opened under the Election Offences Act 1954 and Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.

A total of 28 political speech (ceramah) permits, and 25 campaigning permits have also been approved.

"As of now, the campaigning by all contesting parties has been conducted in a controlled and harmonious manner. The police urge everyone to campaign responsibly until the end of the campaign period.

"Avoid any provocations and matters that could lead to unwanted incidents which would then affect public security and safety," he said.
