Fahmi shares moment 'Gol & Gincu' met 'Litar & Lumba'

KUALA LUMPUR: Fahmi Fadzil shared a lighthearted moment from his meeting with Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor at the Aidilfitri Open House of the Communications Ministry and the Housing and Local Government Ministry in Putrajaya on Thursday (April 25).

The Communications Minister used the nickname given to him by the Kedah Mentri Besar, "Gol & Gincu", as a substitute for his name, while referring to the Mentri Besar as 'Litar & Lumba', accompanied by a laughing emoji.

Muhammad Sanusi, in his Facebook post on Wednesday (April 24), dubbed Fahmi as "Menteri Gol & Gincu", referencing the minister's role as an extra in the popular drama of the same name.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, Fahmi said that they didn't argue during their meeting but instead discussed Internet issues in Kedah, which would be resolved through collaboration with the state government.

"Politics is politics. People's issues must be resolved regardless of differences in opinion," he said in the post, which included two pictures of them at the open house.

During the meeting, Fahmi also touched on Internet issues that were being addressed in Kuala Kubu Baharu, where a by-election will be held on May 11.

"DS (Datuk Seri) Sanusi said he plans to use this (Internet issue) in his campaign. I said that's fine, but don't anger Tuanku Sultan (Sultan of Selangor)," said Fahmi.

The Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election is being held due to the demise of its incumbent, Lee Kee Hiong, 58, from the DAP, on March 21 due to cancer.

Nomination is this Saturday (April 27) and early voting on May 7.- Bernama
