Three men nabbed for nine convenience store robberies in Hulu Selangor and Gombak

HULU SELANGOR: Three men believed to be involved in at least nine convenience store robberies in the district and Gombak, were busted.

Hulu Selangor OCPD Supt Ahmad Faizal Tahrim said police raided a house in Kuang at about 3am on Sunday (April 21) and detained three local men aged between 23 and 32.

"We seized various items including a motorcycle, two helmets and clothing.

"All three men tested positive for drugs," he said in a statement on Monday (April 22).

Supt Ahmad Faizal said the suspects have been remanded until Friday (April 26).

"We believe the robbery gang was responsible for robbery cases involving 24-hour convenience stores in Hulu Selangor and Gombak.

"We are investigating under Section 395 and 397 of the Penal Code for gang robbery," he said.

Supt Ahmad Faizal urged those with information on any criminal activities to contact the nearest police station.

"Cooperation from the public is needed to enable fast police action on any criminal cases," he said.
