A 93-YEAR-OLD Taiwanese man was so deeply in love that he was willing to share his life savings with his “wife”, whom he had not met.
Sin Chew Daily reported that one morning last week, the man from Kaohsiung City submitted a slip to transfer NT$127,400 (RM18,832) to the “wife” at a bank.
Suspecting something amiss when he was unable to provide details of the recipient, the cashier rejected his request and called the police.
The man told police that he got to know the wife on the Internet not long ago and they fell in love.
“She told me she would help me invest, so I decided to give her the money,” he added.
On hearing this, the cops told him this was the typical modus operandi of online love scams and convinced the man not to proceed with the payment.

A 33-second video showed the husband – said to be a 64-year-old developer – storming into a room and flipping a blanket to expose the naked pair.
According to local media, the monk insisted there was nothing between him and the Democrat Party politician, saying that they were merely talking about the problems he encountered lately and that he took a shower after that.

All the Asean countries, except for Brunei and Laos which were not listed, were at the bottom of the list with Indonesia (11.67cm) and Singapore (11.53cm) occupying the immediate two slots before Malaysia.
Countries that were below Malaysia in the study are Vietnam (11.47cm), Thailand (11.45cm), Bangladesh (11.20cm), Hong Kong (11.19cm), Sri Lanka (10.89cm), the Philippines (10.85cm), Myanmar (10.70cm) and Cambodia (10.04cm).
