Ramanan fires back at critics over Mitra allegations

FORMER Malaysian Indian Transformation Unit (Mitra) special committee chairman Datuk R. Ramanan has hit out at those making allegations against him with regard to his leadership of the unit from April 2023 to February 2024.

Ramanan challenged his critics to prove their accusations or be prepared to resign from their posts, Malaysia Nanban reported.

The Sungai Buloh MP said there were claims that committee meetings were held at unsuitable locations outside the office, adding that these were just political lies.

The 48-year-old actor came to prominence with his portrayals of mostly villainous roles in movies like Kaaka Kaaka, Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, Polladhavan, Vada Chennai and Bigil.

His death on Friday had shocked the Indian film industry.
