Cops on hunt for three men promoting illegal money lending services at Ipoh bazaar


IPOH: Police are looking for three men who have been handing out business cards for illegal money lending and online gambling at a Ramadan bazaar here.

Perak police chief Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri said a video recorded by one of the traders at the Ipoh Stadium bazaar on Saturday (March 30) had gone viral.

He said the three men had been distributing the cards for the past three days.

"One of the traders that goes by the name Oppa Zuzu Kitchen had recorded the one-minute-and-one-second video.

"In the video, it shows that a man is seen distributing the cards at all the stalls at the bazaar.

"We have recorded a statement of the person who recorded the video of the incident," he said in a statement on Sunday (March 31).

Comm Mohd Yusri said police were making efforts to trace the suspects involved.

"A police report over the incident is yet to be made by anyone, but the police will take the necessary action," he added.
