"Alhamdulillah. We were able to come to the deceased's village and meet her family to deliver the payments. Personally, I have worked with the deceased. I know her as a diligent and dedicated journalist," she said.

Nur-ul Afida also thanked the Royal Malaysian Police for conducting a mercy flight to bring the remains of the late Nur Adika from Sandakan to Kota Kinabalu.

"Thank you PDRM for helping transport the body and we appreciate it because it also helped the family to hold the funeral ceremony for the deceased," she said.

Meanwhile, Nafsiah also expressed her gratitude to the Bernama management for visiting the family of the late Nur Adika.

Nafsiah, 69, who is also a former RTM Sabah radio producer and presenter, said that Bernama has friendly staff who helped her and her family manage the remains of the late Nur Adika.
