Controversial Ganesparan is once again police target

KUALA LUMPUR: This is not the first time Ganesparan Nadaraja has touched on 3R sensitivities, says Bukit Aman.

"Up until yesterday, we had 22 open cases against him. When we investigated him in 2018 we found that he had left the country and until today he has yet to return," said Bukit Aman CID director Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain, at a press conference at Bukit Aman on Wednesday (March 27).

Comm Mohd Shuhaily was answering questions on two controversial videos linked to Ganesparan that had recently gone viral.

He said that two new reports had already been lodged against Ganesparan adding that the suspect had already been "charged in absentia" and police believe he is currently residing in Europe.

The Immigration Department, following a previous request by the police, had also revoked his passport, said Comm Mohd Shuhaily.

Previously, a request to Interpol to list Ganesparan under their Red Notice had been made however, Comm Shuhaily said that Interpol turned it down as it did not meet its requirements.
