Child found drowned in PJ flood retention pond


PETALING JAYA: A child has been found drowned in a flood retention pond here.

Petaling Jaya district police chief ACP Shahrulnizam Jaafar@Ismail said the body of the boy was discovered by an individual fishing at the pond at about 7pm on Tuesday (Feb 27).

"I will provide details tomorrow as the body has been taken to the Forensic Department of the University Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM)," he said in a statement.

Earlier, a woman identified as Nur Hidayati sought public assistance to find her autistic six-year-old son, who went missing at 4pm on Tuesday. – Bernama
