'Some may fall asleep if I speak too long’, quips King during inaugural royal address

PETALING JAYA: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia gave a concise yet straight to the point royal address when opening the first meeting of the Third Session of the 15th Parliament on Monday (Feb 26).

His Majesty’s royal address lasted only 29 minutes, compared to previous royal addresses to open Parliament which lasted about an hour or so.

“I am afraid some may fall asleep if I speak too long, so I will keep things concise,” said His Majesty towards the end of the royal address.
