Sri Sabah fire: Cops still waiting for Bomba forensic report


KUALA LUMPUR: The police are still waiting for the Fire and Rescue Department's forensic report concerning the fire at five housing units at the Sri Sabah flats in Cheras.

Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Zam Halim Jamaluddin said the forensic report will assist in identifying the cause of the fire on Feb 11.

"We are still investigating the matter and waiting for the forensic report from the Fire and Rescue department," he said when contacted on Sunday (Feb 18).

On Feb 11, five units on the 17th floor of the Sri Sabah flats were razed in a fire while one unit was saved.

Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department received the report on the fire at 9.19pm.

A total of 16 residents were affected as a result of the fire.
