PETALING JAYA: As the country celebrates the auspicious Dragon Year’s Chinese New Year, the MCA president is hopeful that 2024 will boost Malaysia’s economy further.

Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong said this at the 2024 Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCIM) lunch on Thursday (Feb 15), where government officials and leaders in the business community gathered.

"Such a joyful time meeting corporate leaders and friends from the business community, government officials, political leaders and foreign dignitaries at the 2024 ACCCIM lunch reception.

"The event, attended by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, is a gathering in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration.

"May our country’s economy and development soar to greater heights in the Year of the Dragon," he wrote on his Facebook.
