Light aircraft crashes near Kapar in Klang

PETALING JAYA: A light aircraft crashed at Kg Tok Muda in Kapar, Klang, on Tuesday (Feb 13), the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department confirms.

Its assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said a distress call on the incident was received at 1.56pm on Tuesday.

Fire and Rescue teams from the Kapar fire and rescue station were dispatched to the location.

“Upon arriving at the scene, it was found that an aircraft had indeed crashed.

“There are ongoing efforts to locate the victims,” he said in a statement on Tuesday.

Earlier, Bernama had reported that Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan had confirmed the incident.

Majoriti also reported that the incident had gone viral with internet users posting videos and pictures of the debris on social media.
