Man claiming to sell cow's milk robs tailor, takes two gold chains


IPOH: A tailor was robbed and lost two gold chains in Tanjung Rambutan to a man claiming that he sold cow’s milk.

Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Yahaya Hassan said the incident occurred on Feb 8 at about 9.10am at the tailor’s house.

ACP Yahaya said the 38-year-old woman was communicating with the suspect after he claimed that he sold cow’s milk in front of her house when he suddenly snatched two of her chains.

“While talking, the suspect suddenly became aggressive, pushed the victim and snatched two of her gold chains.

“He threatened her and told her not to scream, or he would hurt her.

“He then fled on a motorcycle. The victim did not sustain any injuries,” he said in a statement today. (Feb 11)

ACP Yahaya said the chains that were snatched included her wedding chain and one that was given to her by her father.

He said the case is being investigated under Section 392 of the Penal Code, and the police are looking for the suspect involved in the case.

“Those with information on the incident can contact the investigating officer, ASP Fadli Ahmad, at 019-250 0019 to help police in their investigations.

“I would also like to advise the public to be careful and to take care of their safety and property to avoid any untoward incidents from occurring,” he added.
