Hoping the dragon year will bring love

APART from staying healthy and starting a world concert tour with her “sisterhood group,” Hong Kong actress Nancy Wu (pic) is hoping that the Year of the Dragon will bless her with a life companion.

China Press reported that the 42-year-old revealed this during a promotional event at a mall in Hong Kong recently.

Wu and her best friends Myolie Wu, Paisley Wu, Elaine Yiu, Serena Lee and Mandy Wong form a sisterhood where they often enjoy talking “nonsense”.

During the event, Wu was asked to write down her wishes, after which she declared that she wanted to be healthy and have a world concert tour this new year.

“The six of us have really high expectations for our show. Initially, we just did normal shows, but now we want to turn it into a concert,” she said.

The group is already in talks with various local organisers following their successful concert in the United States last year.

When asked whether she would try to find a companion via the concert, Wu replied with a giggle:“Surely, I hope so. Of course, I know (someone who is a potential candidate). It’s important to have some luck, too, as it’s about time for me to have a companion.”

> After his divorce from Taiwanese TV host Barbie Hsu, Chinese entrepreneur Wang Xiaofei was spotted with his nine-year-old daughter and new girlfriend Mandy at Universal Studios Singapore recently.

Kwong Wah Yit Poh reported that Wang brought the two to a renowned restaurant serving crab dishes.

It was reported that Wang’s trip to Singapore was to also visit his mother, Zhang Lan, who is a successful entrepreneur too.
