JOHOR BARU: A desperate single mother and her teenage daughter were elated when they landed a seemingly easy job calling people and signing them up for an investment scheme that promised good returns, several months ago.
However, little did they know that the more than 200 people – many of them housewives – they were signing up nationwide were being duped in an investment scam and would end up losing over RM2mil.
